The course will be 1750m.  There will be a buoy line the separates lanes 3 and 4.


Drop Off:  Cars and buses should pull over and drop rowers off at the bus pad on Skyline Drive, just past the intersection of Harding. No cars and are allowed on Harding Road.  All spaces are reserved for Regatta host use and emergency access.


Car Parking:  Visitors may park in the lot of Pomeroy Center (207 Skyline Boulevard, San Francisco), approximately one block away.  Overflow parking is also available in the Lake Merced lot located at Lake Merced and Sunset Boulevards.  There is a footpath from this lot, across a bridge, and through the golf course to the Regatta location




Entry Fee:                     $61per person ($1160)

Trailer Fee:                   $40per person ($300 for truck +bridge toll ($20) + gas($200))

Coaching Fee:              $15 per person ($200)

Hotel Fee:                     $50 per person (600)

Food:                             $10 per person (this will cover race day food only, please bring money for dinner on both nights)


Final cost per person: $190  for everyone except Finn, and Emma are 210 due to the single entry

There will be a team meeting at the hotel (around 9:00pm). Lights out by 10:00 pm or when you arrive.

The best of behavior is expected at all times by rowers (and parents). You represent HBRA!

Long sleeve shirt to row in (if its cold),

Rain Jacket,



Sun Screen,

Extra snack food (like an emergency granola bar - never leave home without it when you are an athlete)

Water Bottle  (also never leave home without it)

From Eureka to Course:

Take 101 S

Follow US-101 S to Veterans Blvd in San Francisco. Take exit 438 from US-101 S

Continue on Veterans Blvd.

Take Park Presidio Blvd, 19th Ave

Right on Sloat Blvd to Harding Rd.

As you get to the end of Sloat you will stay left  and turn on to Harding road

The entrance will be on the left and will be  between the two lakes.  The lake to the right (South) is the one we will be racing on.


To HOTEL from Eureka:

Take 101 South, go across the Golden Gate Bridge (don’t stop for toll ...electronic payments now). If you like taking 101 South through San Francisco you are on your own from here. Take exit 438 (Highway 1 South/19th Avenue/Golden Gate Parkway). Continue on 19th Avenue all the way through town, until you hit Highway 1/280 South. Get onto Highway 280 SOUTH, continue on I-280 south for about 8 miles, take the 101N / I-380 E exit/interchange toward SFO, continue on I-380 for about a mile, staying left. Take the US 101 N exit on the left toward SF/North Access Road/Airport Blvd, keep left, follow signs for North Access/South Airport Blvd. Turn Left onto South Airport Blvd. Holiday Inn Express will be on right.

Get on the US 101 N ramp (just south of hotel), and merge onto I-380W via ramp on left toward I- 280/San Bruno (less than two miles)

Merge onto I-280, via exit 5A toward San Francisco /Daly City

Continue on I-280 until exit to Junipero Serra Blvd (EXIT 49A toward Daly City),

Continue on Junipero Serra Blvd until you

Turn left onto John Daly Blvd. Continue on John Daly until you hit CA 35/Skyline (Take a right).

Drive on Skyline until it curves right around Lake Merced (do NOT veer left onto the Great Highway). Take a right onto Harding, into the Park. Ask to allow rowers to dump off (with the stuff they will need for the day). You will then need to go park outside of the park/regatta area...taking a right back onto Skyline and taking first left onto Zoo road where there is usually some parking behind the Zoo.
